This week we welcome a new addition to the story of The Three Wars: General Shirokuri. Hailing from the wintery northlands, he led his warriors into battle with cunning bravado, demanding their loyalty and inspiring their excellence. General Shirokuri, once called lightning incarnate, was keen to never rely on brute force, instead using his wits to outflank and outmaneuver his opponents in his vast, mountainous homeland. After the wars, the people gave his name to a majestic peak, the base of which was the site of one of his most famous victories. And to this day, rumor has it that the rare, white chestnuts of Mount Shirokuri have mystical powers.

This figure is signed, numbered and comes with shown accessories. Due to the nature of the materials, some differences should be expected in each figure. 10 figures in this set, $700 per figure. Limit one figure per customer.

Wanderlust
The final print of 2010…

Two thousand ten, It’s been one hell of a year… at times utterly amazing, at others a struggle just to see the path ahead. I’m looking forward to what my future holds but in my preparations for the new year, I found myself revisiting a special time and place: my travels thru East Asia earlier this year. Heavily inspired by the beauty of Cambodia’s people and country, I took this as an opportunity to revisit the journeys of Raku. This print not only signifies the turning point of yet another year but begins a new chapter for my Gold Life tales. There are some huge developments coming in the second half of 2011. Stuff I’ve been pushing for and working towards for several years. I’m excited to see these projects finally coming to fruition and we will be leading up to them with more art, more toys, more prints, more customs… indeed, more awesomes. Gold Life is coming.

Raku, forever on the road, unassuming traveler by day, purveyor of the wealthy by night. Running from his past, walking steadfastly into his future. Caught in a moment, in the Valley of Three Falls, seemingly lost in thought. Wanderlust.

Each is printed on fine art watercolor  paper (225gs), 20″x12″ (plus 1″ border on all sides), gold embossed,  numbered and signed. Limited edition run of 100 prints, $60 each.

Arctic Camo Hicks
You asked for it, we delivered.

We had an overwhelming response for the last SGT Hicks release and unfortunately for our fans and collectors, they sold out pretty instantly, leaving dozens of people without a SGT Hicks to call their own. To remedy this situation we are trying a different production approach for this next set. A preorder only limited edition custom set. We’ve made a new variant of the SGT Hicks figure, the “Arctic Camo” colorway and he is available for preorder only. We will still cap the limited edition run size and honor the original $500 price tag but the number of preorders we receive is going to determine the total size of this run (ie. if you folks preorder 18 Hicks, we’ll make 18, then close the run). How does that sound? We hope this will help get a Huck custom into the hands of all  the folks that tried unsuccessfully to get the last run of SGT Hicks.

Huck has finally finished the next print in his Colonial Life series, and it’s quite huge… the UTCMC Sgt Hicks R&R print. Hicks is getting in quite late (or is that early?) to his lakeside retreat. Salvaged from a downed Nrezatarian Class Cruiser, we think he’s cleaned the place up quite nicely. Each is printed on fine art watercolor paper (225gs), 24″x12″ (26″x14″), signed, and gold embossed in the top left corner with the print #. Limited edition run of 99 prints, $75 per print.

As some of you may know Huck is a huge Subaru (and rally/motorsports) fan and last year he was given the opportunity to work with Ken Block to create his “43” logo along with wrapping his rally prepped Subaru. It was a perfect creative match (you have seen the Gymkhana videos right?).

Since then Ken has moved onto the WRC (go Ken!) and team Ford (since Subaru is no longer competing in the World Rally series). Although he’s no longer driving an STi, the Fiesta is a very competitive car and we wish Ken the best of luck in the series. He’s living his rally dreams.

We don’t want to reveal too much more at this point but be sure there will be more info/product announcements to come. In the meantime, meet Blockhead:

Minosu Travels – new Gold Life print
He’ll be coming ’round the mountain when he comes…

Coming this Friday, May 15th at Noon PDT, we’re proud to release the newest Gold Life print, Minosu Travels. Once again we revisit everyone’s favorite bull headed, golden armored, hammer wielding, skull crushing beastie: the legendary Minosu Ushi-Oni. This time Minosu appears to be leaving behind the massive labyrinth-like grounds of the Glorious Soaring Munk’s secret mountain retreat, and he looks none too happy about it. Maybe it’s the awful weather… poor fella. Armor fitted, gear packed, flag mounted, and drum strapped… he’s all set to go somewhere perched atop his mega-mammoth-ian mount, The Golden Bull.
