I’m never signing anything again, ever…

Back to back to back to back traveling, what a trip. Not exactly hard work per se but definitely tiring and disorienting. My manager is already planning the next one. I think I may need to fire her.

With that being said, huge thanks to everyone that came out, braved freezing cold temperatures, and stood in long lines. I truly appreciate your support and admiration. I wouldn’t be here where I am today without it. And much thanks to all the store peeps that were involved in coordinating the signings. I met so many great people and many in cities I’ve never adventured to before. Huge thanks all around.

Huck really enjoyed working on this figure, it was a very organic creative process from beginning to end. We hope you enjoy it too.

La Muerte Negro
When darkness descends…

On Naoya 13 there are many whispered tales of people disappearing in the night. Sometimes, they are tales of revolt, of dissidents and rival political parties. Sometimes they are tales of justice in the underground: of pit fighting organizers, of gang lords, or of corrupt police. Sometimes they are just tales indeed… People may never know the answers they seek but when darkness descends, when evil things happen and they leave not a trace, they blame La Muerte Negro.

Officially, La Muerte Negro does not exist. The Taurenos royal family denies their existence. There is no La Muerte Negro. But the people know better. They were told the tales as children, to keep their lives straight. The tales evolving as they grew older, no longer just myth. Everybody knows someone that knew somebody that disappeared. The people know what darkness patrols the city when the sun sets… the people know…

Huck will be stopping by both of our local 2010 Dunny Release Parties this Thrusday… both Neon Monster and Kidrobot SF.

The revered guardians of the Taurenos royal family.

The Taurenos monarchy has ruled Naoya 13 for the better part of two centuries. Maintaining their hold on this tumultuous kingdom has been no easy feat, thwarting numerous coup and assassination attempts over the decades. Spring Cleaning
Looky what we dug up…

Just look at that stack of vinyl goodness. For some of you trying to complete your Dunny collection this is just one set short of being the holy grail of finds: Dunny Series 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 (2009). In addition, we’ve got a couple of the Kidrobot Super Mini Keychain sets and a set of the 2006 World Cup Coca Cola Trexis. The best part? They’re all sealed and unopened. These are Huck’s artist sets, one of each figure in the set as part of his involvement in the series. They’ve been sitting in the back of a storage box for the last few years. The Vader Project

After several years touring the globe, The Vader Project helmets are finally going on the auction block. In addition to Huck’s take on the classic villain, Kurai no Kurai, there are over 100 other helmets in this globe trotting show, painted by some of the art world’s greatest. Sgt Vasquez dons the Vlad Systems Vl.12 Powersuit

Sgt Vasquez dons “Bruiser” the Vlad Systems Vl.12 PowerSuit. The Dread Squad’s rock’em, sock’em, down and dirty, preferred method of minor mechanized destruction. The Vl.12 is one of the more customizable early military and private sector models from Vlad Systems. With variations designed for extreme environments, fire/rescue squads, general warfare, construction, and even zoology. And let’s not forget the annual Mech games on planet Makoto!

This figure is really quite the monstrosity, weighing in at almost 20 pounds, it has real heft! The largest project we’ve yet to delve into. And in case you’re wondering, yes, that is a full size Munny, not a mini-munny. Each piece is signed, numbered and comes with shown accessories. 10 figures in this set, $1500 per figure. Pit Fighter Nibbles
Natural born brawler…

Long before he joined the Dread Squad, Nibbles was a renowned pit fighter on his home planet of Naoya 13, born into the interspecies favelas of Taurenos, the sprawling industrial port city. He survived the brutal street life as much with his wits as with his muscle, playing his foes against one another like an elaborate game of chess. His natural born skills and savage upbringing made him a perfect fit for the underground pit fighting circuit. He flourished, against all odds, climbing his way to the top of the heap and into the legends of underground fame.

But as is bound to happen, no matter how many steps he tried to stay ahead of his enemies, his luck eventually ran out, he crossed one person too many and found himself hunted down by the elite military police, jailed in a maximum security isolation wing, staring down the barrel of politico assassination allegations. He most likely would’ve perished there if not for Sgt Vasquez stumbling across him and offering him the opportunity of a new life as a member of the UTCMC Dread Squad…but that story is for another day…

Here we present Nibbles in all of his pit fighter glory… going on sale this Friday, April 16th, at Noon PDT. Each figure is signed, numbered and comes with shown accessories. The Heavy Metal Contest

So Huck’s got this big ole jar of coins… although it’s not a jar, it’s a jug, a gallon jug, and the damn thing must weigh close to 50 pounds.
