How awful. A year ago there was a girl on facebook who sent my boyfriend messages about how she liked him, etc. Well she kept mentioning me and several of my friends she knew so that she could be closer to him. I had never met the girl and kept saying I didn't know her. Turns out she trolled my facebook. Picked random friends out and used that info to help her story. Her pictures were fake and she was too.. Sad times. That's why I would befriend someone who actually has tons of pics with people and something that verifies who they are and that people actually know them. Wow ! How awful. With my girl, I kept bringing up the things that didnt make sense and she would find ways around them..I guess I was almost as much to blame because I didn't want to believe someone would lie about all of this..only she sent ME all kinds of gifts and things. We were all planning on meeting her after high school, then suddenly she was in a car crash, her friend posted stuff on her fb and kept all of us updated on her situation. Few days later she died, but some things didn't fit right, I happened to have family who lived (theoretically) near her, they found nothing in the obituaries, no school records, not a single trace she existed. About a year later, she resurfaced to one of the real friends and admitted to creating a fake life using pictures of a classmate and felt horrible leading us to believe she died. People do some ridiculous things when they're feeling completely alone in life. I feel ya Huck.
